 Day 01/: Leh Arrival + Leisure Day + Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace

Arrive at Leh Airport, and you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Welcome-drink on arrival. We recommend you stay completely relaxed for the rest of the day to enable yourself to acclimatise to the rarefied air at the high altitude of Ladakh. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace.
Shanti Stupa: Japanese Buddhist Organisation built the Stupa to promote world peace and commemorate the 2500 years of Buddhism on the hilltop of Leh.
Leh Palace: Leh Palace, also known as Lachen Palkar Palace, is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh. King Singgee Namgyal built the castle during the 17th Century. The nine storeys building is now in ruins.

The caste was the royal family's home before being exiled to Stok palace in the 1830s.Overnight stay in Leh.


 Day 02/: In Leh – Sham Valley Visit (Hall of fame, Spituk, Gurduwara, Magnetic hill & Sangam)

Route: Today explore the place around Leh, including Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic hill, Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers (Sangam) on a Full day Tour.

The Hall of Fame: located near the Leh Airfield, is a museum constructed and maintained by the Indian Army in memory of the Indian soldiers. It is a museum built in the memory of Indian soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars.

Magnetic Hill: Magnet Hill is a "gravity hill" the area's slop layout and surroundings create an optical illusion that the down road is uphill. The Magnetic Hill continues to baffle tourists till today. So called because of the strong magnetic force that pulls cars up even when the ignition is turned off, a car drives up the magnetic hill is well worth the gravity defying experience.

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: As you drive back towards Leh after visiting the Magnetic Hill stop by at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak to Leh. A sense of peace pervades this Gurudwara which also offers a bewitching view of the majestic mountains that border it from all sides.

Sangam, Indus and Zanskar River Confluence: What really makes the Confluence of Indus (right) and Zaskar (left) a truly wonderful sight is the color of the water as well as the flow it changes all year long you will notice that the color of Indus is light green while Zanskar is crystal blue. In the second picture, you will see how the color of the Indus has become dark green whereas Zanskar has turned completely muddy. Overnight stay at Leh.


 Day 03/: Leh – Khardung La (5400m) – Nubra Valley (120 kms 4 to 5 hrs)

Today we proceed to Nubra valley via Khardung La pass which is one of the highest motorable pass in the world. It will take approximately 2-3 hours to reach Khardung La from Leh. Spend some time at Khardung La, enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains, and take some photos. Drive down from Khardung La towards Nubra Valley, Nubra is known as Ldumra, meaning “valley of flowers” in Ladakhi language. Nubra is also the gateway to Siachen glacier, the highest and coldest battlefield in the world at an altitude of almost 6,000 metres where the temperature falls below minus 60 degrees in the winter. Tourists need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Nubra valley.

Visit Diskit Monastery, which is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra Valley, and offers some stunning views of the valley. Head to Hunder Sand Dunes, which are about 15 km from Diskit. You can enjoy a camel ride on a bactrian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high-altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. Overnight in Nubra valley ( Hunder/Disket)

 Day 04/: In Nubra Valley – Shyok – Pangong Lake (150 kms 5 to 6 hrs)

Morning after early breakfast drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong via Shayok.

Some of the road patches in areas are extremely tough (towards nubra side) in terms of road conditions but no doubt the journey is very scenic! Later we drive further towards Durbuk & Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can enjoy this amazing view of the Pangong Lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the "Indo China Border". Upon arrival we check-in at Camp near Pangong Lake. You can visit the famous point (3 Idiot) at Pangong lake, enjoy the photo shoot, and Be ready with your cameras to click memorable photos.

Pangong Lake, a highest salt water lake in the world, shared by two countries India (25%) and China (75%), derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. Pangong Lake is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times.Over Night stay in Pangong


 Day 05/: Pangong Lake @ 4500m - Hanley Via Rezangg La War Memorial 160 kms 6 to 7 hrs

Morning after breakfast drive from Pangong Lake to Hanle. Today's ride will be very challenging as it's a less travelled road, and the terrain is challenging with a mix of good and bad roads. We will cross Maan and Merak and head toward Chushul (Get your permits checked and proceed further. This route will take you through places like Rezang La and Tsaga, where Indian Army battled with China. The presence of the Indian Astronomical Observatory makes this village quite famous.

Visit the Hanle Observatory & Monastery: This observatory is the best spot in the whole country to observe the skies and indulge in stargazing as it is located 4,500 m above sea level. Hanle village is also known for the eponymous monastery among tourists, which boasts of a rich history. It is at Hanle Ladakh, where you can enjoy stunning views of smaller mountains and hillocks with the vast expanse of arid lands. Overnight stay at Hanle.


 Day 06/: Hanley to Umling La pass ( 19024 ft )– Back ( 80kms / one way )

After breakfast drive to Umling La Pass (5798 mtrs) is the highest motorable pass, surpassing even Khardung la & Everest base camp in elevation. It is located in Ladakh, India on the ridgeline between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River near Demchok. It forms the source for the Umlung stream that drains into the Indus and a tributary of the Kiungdul river that drains into Koyul Lungpa. which ascends to a great height of 5,798.251 m (19,024 ft 0.73 in) in the vicinity of the pass, making it the world's highest motorable road. Spend some time Umlingla is known for its breathtaking views and picturesque landscapes and click some pictures to cherish the memories. Overnight stay at Hanley.


 Day 07/: Hanley to Leh Via - Chumatang Hot Water Spring – Leh (260 Kms / Approx 6-7 hrs drive)

Morning after early breakfast drive from Hanley to leh via Maha Bridge is a scenic drive that pass through some of the most breathtaking landscape in Ladakh. On the way stop at Chumatang hot spring & can take lunch at road side eatery or restaurant.

Upon arrival at Leh check in hotel & later free for your own to explore surrounding local market & shopping. Overnight stay at Leh.


 Day 08/: Leh Hotel – Drop Leh Airport

1)How can we reach Ladakh?

Answer: Answer. There are three ways to reach Ladakh:

  • The best way to travel to Ladakh is by flight. Leh Airport is well-connected with major cities like Delhi, Jammu, Chandigarh, Srinagar, and many other places through direct and connecting flights.
  • If you are traveling by road then there are two different routes lead to Ladakh - one from Srinagar and another from Manali. If you are traveling from Manali then you will cover the distance of 474 kilometers to Leh via Keylong with a night stopover. On the other hand, Srinagar to Leh will take you through Sonamarg, Drass, Kargil, Mulbekh, and Lamayuru. You will cover 434 km on this journey. All the roads remain open from May to October.


2)Is there any oxygen problem in Ladakh?

Answer: Ladakh is located at high altitude, nearly 11,500 feet above sea level. At this altitude people often find difficulty in breathing or are likely to fall prey to altitude sickness. It happens due to a low level of atmospheric oxygen. It is advisable to give yourself enough time to acclimatize before engaging in any physical activity.
